Steamboat Springs, Colorado is unlike most of the other Colorado ski towns.  Because it is not alone in the Highway 70 corridor.  Located in the Yampa River Valley, is a remote enough that it is not a typical day-ski area. Since it is separated by Rabbit Ears Pass, it remained more isolated than most of the other Colorado ski areas. 

It is also a very upscale area with that great selection of resorts.  Many of these resorts can help organize a wedding ceremony and reception.  The town also boasts a main street with any interesting shops and restaurants.  A very popular destination wedding plan is to ride the gondola up to the top of the mountain for the wedding ceremony and reception.  This can be done year-round.  During the winter the area gets tons of powder making it a great place for a ski-in / ski-out wedding.  During the summer steamboat is host to many interesting events including several tournaments and a hot air balloon Festival.  The area is also popular for fishing, rafting and tubing during the summer months.  If you aren't steamboat during the summer, you should definitely take a ride down the river in a tube. If you are seeking   A destination wedding spot with a mountain style, Steamboat Springs is one of my favorite areas and an exceptional area for celebrating wedding receptions and wedding ceremonies.
