Just north of the Mexican border, San Diego is a cultural and economic center with a booming economy and a relatively huge population.  The combined is San Diego/Carlsbad/San Marcos metropolitan area has almost 3 million residents.  A city this large has almost unlimited options for wedding locations and reception sites.  With a bustling downtown area, 16 military facilities, and a large presence of the University of California, this area offers a wide diversity of both indoor and outdoor wedding venues and banquet facilities.
