Wedding Locations And Reception Venues
|
Reunite with friends & family in a relaxed, country atmosphere for a
memorable weekend wedding ceremony & celebration, just 30 miles outside of
wedding venues in Boston.
Friendly Crossways is wonderfully suited for the couple looking for a
beautiful natural setting with plenty of space for family members to
reunite and for guests to meet, mingle and take the time to really enjoy
your unique wedding ceremony and celebration. You can reserve exclusive
use of our 25-acre property for up to 48 hours for a flat fee. This gives
you access to the grounds with lots of options for unique, romantic
outdoor wedding settings. These include a wooded glade with natural stone
steps surrounded by towering trees, on a lovely green lawn, bordered by
traditional New England stone walls and perennial flower beds, or under a
flaming orange maple tree in the fall. Other amenities are a fire-pit, and
four acres of open lawn bordered by woods and corn fields, suitable for
outdoor games such as croquet.
You also get accommodations in our renovated 100-year old barn and
farmhouse for up to 40 people in charming bedrooms decorated with hand
stenciled walls and handmade quilts. You have the ability to use the
dining hall and kitchen for non-reception meals, including rehearsal
dinners and post-wedding brunch. Or take advantage of our on-site
catering for as many as 150 reception guests. Our chef uses local produce
as much as possible?frequently from her own organic gardens?to produce
delicious, beautifully presented omnivore, vegetarian and/or vegan
appetizers and meals.
You can be as laid-back or as formal as you wish at Friendly Crossways,
designing your once-in-a-lifetime event to incorporate your personal style
and traditions. Your host and hostess, Keith and Mary Turner, understand
that flexibility and harmony are critical to successful event coordination
and we look forward to hosting your special event.
